Spaces for all Occasions

The Convent holds the potential to host a variety of activities in its large and small rooms, chapel, cloisters and gardens. It possesses a unique heritage atmosphere but lends itself to adaptation according to need. Every effort will be made to accommodate you in a spirit of warm hospitality.

There are so many activities for which Sacred Spaces can provide that special venue.

Within the main convent building there are three very large rooms which are adaptable to a variety of uses: social, educational, musical, spiritual in nature. The five cloisters which surround the building offer shelter, and the opportunity of withdrawal during sessions within the convent.

There is much original furnishing in place and rooms can also be used in their traditional mode. However it is possible to adapt spaces to need. The abundant tables have casters, modern comfortable seating is on hand and electrical equipment is catered for.

The chapel is reserved for its original religious functions but is now frequently used for weddings. Like the other large rooms it is often hired for concerts because of its superb acoustic. The gardens offer unlimited opportunity for outdoor activity, quiet contemplation and photography. There is space suitable to food preservation, preparation and serving. The more modern buildings with small rooms to the east of the convent add to the opportunities for finding your venue for your special need.
